After a $484 million dollar renovation, Hong Kong’s Chief Executive Carrie Lam announces the grand reopening of the 160+ year old Tai Kwun Jockey Club Building as the Center for Culture and Heritage. A $450 million USD renovation from police-station and prison into Culture (art/music) and Heritage (museum) Center makes valuable community impact while including music and art in the relaunch of HKJC Tai Kwun! Once a prison, now a vibrant art center! In the future, there will be more and more world-famous culture projects coming but for now, the installation chronicles the 160+ year history of Hong Kong’s development, runs every night at 10 Hollywood Road in Central HK through June 25th and is admission free!
