TEKTONIK unites artists from around the world from nations afflicted by trauma and natural disasters. Together they create uplifting electronic world music to raise awareness and funds for global harmony. The TEKTONIK initiative has taken a key role in helping organizations realize the potential of storytelling through music and media. Led by Grammy Winning sonic architect Dana Leong core ensemble is made of Dana Leong from China and Japan alongside musicians from Haiti, USA, Philippines, and India.
Their works feature musicians Keali’i Reichel from Hawaii, Grammy Winning producer Jason Gilbert from Cayman Islands, National Geographic Photographer Mattias Klum and visual artists Android Jones from USA & Glowing Bulbs Visual Arts Collective from Hungary. The mission behind TEKTONIK is to remind us of our shared destiny and of the need for compassionate and careful stewardship of Mother Earth through collaborations with people with high spiritual energy. The initiative is proud to partner with Alibaba Philanthropy, Save the Children, United Nations Global Compact & Global Teacher Prize and JUCCCE, all who have presented TEKTONIK as a model to activate social change through music & art.
Creator Dana Leong is currently working with Discovery Channel TV Producer Ryan Pyle to create a television series based on the TEKTONIK Initiative’s focus on musical performances for disaster relief around the globe! 2017 will mark the embarkation of the TV series filming and simultaneous release of an album of original musical collaborations from around the globe!
